No Doubt's lead singer Gwen Stefani and Bush front man Gavin Rossdale have already filed for divorce after being married for 13 years. Aside from their ultimate reason of having 'irreconcilable differences,' reports say that another thing pushed Stefani to divorce her husband - the existence of Rossdale's former gay lover, Marilyn Robinson.
After 13 years of being married, they have come to end their relationship. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale filed for divorce Monday this week because of irreconcilable differences. However, speculations are everywhere that there is another reason for the shocking divorce - Marilyn Robinson, Rossdale's former gay lover.
Marilyn Robinson, born Peter had an interview with Radar Online and stated some things. The phone call thing was true, though it was Gavin who called him a couple of weeks ago. Robinson said that Rossdale told him about his marriage with Gwen and how it's slowly crumbling down.
On the phone call, Gavin said to Marilyn that fault that everything is his [Gavin] fault. "Gwen wants him to be something he's not, and he wants to be something he's not. That's my interpretation. I'm very sad for all parties involved, mostly the children," said Marilyn.
According to ET, Gavin Rossdale and Marilyn Robinson had met in the '80s, where both were just starting up their careers in London. Marilyn admitted that he had been in a romantic relationship with Gavin and said that they have been very close over the years.
And with Robinson's admission on having an affair with Rossdale in the past made Gwen uncomfortable, especially with the detailed news that spread. "He called our relationship an experimentation, indiscretion of youth. Our experiment went on for five years!"
Mirror reported Gwen and Gavin's joint interview where they have said "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment."
