Another celeb couple has ended their marriage and announced it on Twitter. Jake Owen and his wife, Lace Buchanan have called it quits after three years of marriage, the "Days of Gold" singer announced the divorce through Twitter on Friday, August 7.

The 33-year old singer took to Twitter with an official statement on the subject while saying, "This is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life." Owen tweeted of his divorce announcement. "We appreciate your support and privacy in this matter."

Included with the tweet was a detail of the divorce statement from the country crooner. He stated, "I wanted to let my fans know how much I've appreciated their support of not only my career, but my family as a whole," he continued, "Sadly, Lacey and I have decided to end our marriage."

He went on to bring up the topic about the couple's only child, whom they welcomed in the family in November 2012. "We want to focus on our daughter Pearl and make sure that she has a beautiful life with loving parents," he wrote, "We appreciate you respecting our privacy during this time."

The "Anywhere With You" singer and his model wife, first known each other on the set of Owen's music video for "Eight Second Ride." They got engaged in April 2012, when he proposed on stage at his alma mater, Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, Fla.

Just a month after the whole engagement, the couple decided to tie the knot. The couple, shares a two-year old daughter named Olive Pearl after they were married in May 2012, as mentioned by HollywoodLife.

Unfortunately, Owen and Buchanan's divorce isn't really a surprise to his fans and to the online world. Just this July 2015, Jake had an interview with "America's Morning Show", in which he revealed that they were having problems with their relationship as husband and wife.

He explained that he doesn't really talk much about their relationship because it's a matter between him and his wife, but he revealed that for the last few months, they were having a hard time. He added that they were struggling with communication, that's why they were talking about the possibility of a divorce.

He even added, "And I don't want to talk about that, but after long conversations for days and weeks, part of us talking about it and getting it out there and letting people know that we're the same as they are, we have problems, too, it made us feel better talking about the things we've kept from each other."

The recent announcement of Jake Owen and Lacey Buchanan has made three fan- favorite country couple split ups in recent months. Those couples include Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock, who just announced that they were ending their 26 years of marriage this week and just last month. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert also made public that they were going their separate ways as well.
