Blake Shelton's divorce from Miranda Lambert was finalized last week. But the Country singer appeared to be coping well with the drama on Monday as he gave his first interview since the split was announced. On the other hand, Miranda Lambert was drowning all her sorrows through drinking alcohol in her recent concert.
Blake sipped vodka from a red plastic cup, as he admitted how rough the last week has been during his first interview after divorce with Entertainment Tonight. Kicking off the interview with his fellow country artist Brad Paisley, they promoted the new season of The Voice; he drank from a red solo cup.
When asked what he was sipping, Blake answered, "A little vodka before admitting. I thought I'd go ahead and get it started early."
He also added, it's been one of those weeks."
Sophie Shellaci then asked the "The Voice" coach how he was coping. "Well, my wedding ring missing from my hand. I got divorce," Shelton replied wryly.
While Shelton seemed to cope up greatly after the divorce, his wife, Miranda Lambert wished to take the edge off with a bit of booze during her recent concert performance.
According to concert-goers, she asked the crowd between songs if they were still out there, jokingly suggesting that people may have been too wasted to be listening to her concert anymore. She even said, "I wish I've been drinking all day, I deserve it," she said. "I just got divorced."
It seems the "Little Red Wagon" singer is finally set to spit out about her recent split with Shelton and even may be coping with the help of alcohol. Meanwhile, her ex seems to be doing the same after indicating he's bringing an ice chest with him to "The Voice" set.
According to US Weekly, the singer teared up while singing her romantic song "Over You," to the crowd. Many in the audience reported she had to wipe away a tear during the song, likely because it conjured up thoughts of her previous relationship.
The Country music duo settled their split up on Monday, July 20 after four years of being married. In a statement just hours after the divorce announcement, the couple stated to the The Big Story, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately."
Rumors pointing out on the reasons the ex-couple decided the divorce have went from Shelton being too busy and just too committed to his job.Lambert on the other hand was alllegedly cheating on her husband. Both parties tries to move on, if possible, away from the prying eyes of the public.
