Episode 5 of 'Ray Donovan' has shown Ray's new mission drives "wedge between father Finney and daughter Paige." In "Handshake Deal", Paige asks Ray to work for her instead of her father with the promise of better incentives.

According to the report, Ray is going to exert his full effort to make sure that Verona will win the Election Day. If this happens, then Ray and Paige could be able to push forward with their NFL plans.

TV Fanatic also speculates that more likely Ray "would move back so that things looked copacetic on the homefront to Finney. It might look good for Ray to have a strong family, even if it's broken on the inside."

Meanwhile, Ray set his eyes on Varrick (Jason Butler Harner), the chief of staff of the Finney organization. Despite his connection with the family, Ray suspects that he is someone to look out for.
