Mortal Kombat X Latest News: NetherRealm Studios drops hints on Kombat Pack 2; Erron Black, Ferra Torr, Sub-Zero wearing no masks shown in video

NetherRealm Studios teases Mortal Kombat X fans with the imminent arrival of Kombat Pack 2 while a video surfaced online showing Erron Black, Ferra Torr, Sub-Zero and other fighting characters wearing masks and without their masks.

After the release of the Mortal Kombat X Tremor DLC for Kombat Pack 1, fans are now all hyped up waiting for the next expansion and co-creator Ed Boon, as usual, teases via his Twitter account a little taste of the Kombat Pack 2 goodness by using a trending topic #StraightOutta, says Yibada.

On the other hand, IGN reports that a YouTube user has compiled a video showing masked and unmasked faces of Mortal Kombat X fighters Erron Black, Ferra Torr, Revenant Sub-Zero, Jason Vorhees, including two non-playable characters-Rain and Smoke.

Both Rain and Smoke have been rumored to be playable and come as add-ons. Rain, the half-god who can control the weather including both rain and lightning was teased by Mortal Kombat X co-creator Ed Boon in his Twitter last June. Smoke has reportedly appeared in the Mortal Kombat X cinematics alongside Nightwolf, Kenshi, Fujin, Stryker, and Kabal.

Kombat Pack 1 is the fourth Mortal Kombat X DLC that came along with Tremor and other fighters' costumes. Kombat Pack 1 was originally titled "The Klassic Pack 2" when the four DLC packs were introduced to the public about four months ago. It implies that a change in last DLC title, changing it into Kombat Pack 1 would mean that fans will be seeing more Kombat Packs coming in the near future.

The first four DLCs previously introduced Jason Voorhees, Tanya, Predator, and Tremor with some character skins for few existing fighters.

Mortal Kombat X is the tenth installment in the Mortal Kombat video game series released by NetherRealm Studios on April 14 for PS 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. To date, Mortal Kombal X Mobile, the Android and iOS versions have already reached a whopping 5 million downloads at Google Playstore.
