The 25-year-old Harry Potter star, Emma Watson revealed that she was on a silent retreat after her horrendous break-up with boyfriend, Matt Jenney. Just like any other normal girl, someone like Watson also struggles with her love life.
According to E! News, the United Nations Global Ambassador and actress didn't deal with her break-up by partying and fuelling herself with alcohol to heal her broken heart. Instead, she checked into a silent retreat located in Canada and vowed into complete silence for one week. All the participants are required to be silent for the entire duration of the week. It was definitely a different kind of therapy to deal heartbreak with.
The 25-year old Harry Potter actress broke up with her boyfriend, Matthew Jenney who was a rugby player. Apparently, their relationship got so intense towards its coming end, that Watson chose to take a vow of silence for a week to review her mind and who she is by herself. She admitted that she hasn't noticed with her previous partners that she has struggled at all with her love life, given that all the men she has been with made her feel cherished. As reported by Refinery 29, they built her up in a way that doing the work that she does couldn't.
Apparently, she has been struggling connecting herself with her career as reported by MSN. Given that she started acting at such a young age, all she ever thought of before was just to act. With all the recognition she gets now, she feels that she isn't herself. She feels that she is a different person compared to the person that people give a lot of credit to. To her, acting simply feels like it's something that she does and it may not be who she really is.
As perfect as Emma Watson seems to be, she still struggles with herself like a normal person. She goes through heartbreak and struggle of self-worth well. She is no different to any of us, but a vow of silence for an entire week is definitely something different.
