Ronda Rousey opens up on anorexia, her weight, and how she doesn't let today's society and media bring her down

The famous UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey recently opened up on how she has been through one of the most common eating disorders known to women, anorexia. It was during last Monday evening that the champion took to Reddit to answer questions from her fans, which gave Rousey the opportunity to speak about dealing with the eating disorder.

In a report from Eonline, Rousey invited her fans through social media to join her on Reddit where she was answering questions live. One fan made the comment of how inspiring Rousey was for her as she struggled from anorexia, something that Ronda Rousey recently did too.

In another report from Huffington Post, Rousey shared her anorexia experience with the Redditor fan stating "It feels very liberating to be free of the guilt that used to come with every meal," she further on explained "I feel like I have so much extra space in my brain now that I'm not constantly thinking about the next meal and trying to eat as much as possible every day while still losing weight, I feel amazing."

Ronday Rousey has had a lot of criticism over the years to do with her body, but has now reached the point where she doesn't takes any notice of what the media and society has to say. When asked if she was concerned about her image the 28 year old champ expressed how she has no control over her body due to different weigh in requirements for UFC fighting, but has accepted it, and doesn't let it get in her way of her happiness.

Abc News reported that though Ronday Rousey admitted having to keep her fighting weight strict in line with weight requirements, she also stated that when she's not preparing for a fight she loves to pig out and eat whatever she wants. She later on admitted that she's not one to keep to a strict diet.

Ronda Rousey most recently weighed in at 135lbs during the UFC 190 weigh in on July 31, 2015 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for her match against Bethe Correia; Rousey came out victorious after a brutal 34 second knock out.
