As announced last June by Square Enix during its press conference at E3 2015, the new Hitman game will be out worldwide on December 8, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. As to those who keep asking, just to make things clear, the game is not entirely a reboot or a prequel, instead, developers will focus more on its technology on sound, tools, and sandbox mechanics.
The Hitman, as the new game will simply be called, will take players into "new locations, new missions, and new hits at regular intervals." Adding to the excitement, some targets will only be available for a limited time, as players around the world would squabble to hit these same targets. If a target escapes or is killed by a certain player, they'll be gone forever in the game.
As what Christian Elverdam, creative director, said in an IO Interactive press release, "This is a true Hitman fantasy, a highly challenging, thinking person's game where creativity is rewarded." He added, "You have the power and intelligence of Agent 47 at your fingertips and it is your choice whether to use brute force or orchestrate a genuine masterpiece of assassination."
