He revealed that Ukrainian politics and Russia's president Vladimir Putin will be discussed in the fall premiere. IBTimes also reports that 'Homeland' season 5 storyline will also include another public figure, the NSA leaker Edward Snowden. According to Nevins, this story is one of prominent names added this season to keep things fresh and will surely 'resonate with people'.
ISIS storyline will also come into play, which completes the 3 storylines in 'Homeland' season 5. And, the series showrunner Alex Gansa has, in fact, had some initial concerns about this inclusion and said this might be "too evil" to put on the show. However, Nevins has no doubts by saying "It's going to touch [ISIS]. It's going to touch all those things. It's a show that reflect the world that we live in. We'll see. I feel very confident with what they're doing,"
