Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) heeds to the practical advice of his doctor, Joe (Rob Corddry) bravely prepares to leave Anderson and his company while Charles (Omar Benson Miller) grabs the chance of being back in the field. Lead characters are heading on in "Head-on" 9th Episode of Ballers on Sunday.
In the previous episode, "Gaslighting", Spencer celebrates his clear CAT scan results with his version of "Shake It off" which went viral according to Vulture. But his doctor in the next episode advices him to make amends with his past after he confessed that an event disturbs him till now.
In the next episode, Spencer narrates that he caused a career and possibly a life from a man he tackled in a game when he was still playing professional football. He is then out to meet the man he took away a fortune from in an attempt to make himself at peace with the past.
But the concern with a man he caused not to play football again is not the only concern that bothers him. He is also bombarded with the blackmailing of his former woman, Angie (Angelina Assereto), who threatens to make his scandalous photos public. He has to settle the issue with Angie through money. Angie's blackmail sprouted out from her want to avenge the abuse she experienced on the hand of Spencer according to Ibtimes.
"Head-on" both means looking back and moving on as for Spencer. "Head-on" for Joe, however, just literaly means moving forward particularly on his career. After what Anderson did to his friend Spencer, Joe decides to leave Anderson's company even before he fires him. To secure his future, Joe allowed himself to be back tattooed in exchange of his client Victor Cruz' loyalty.
Charles on the other hand is heading-on on his dream to return on the field. After learning that a Dolphins player is out of the season, he rapidly seek opportunity with Seifert. It was a total challenge for him in this episode to go back to the field.
As of Ricky (John David Washington) who gave a $400,000 Bulgari ring to Anabelle in hopes to be forgiven seems not to show him self off in the Episode teaser in youtube and is the only character who seems not to head-on.
Ricky is bound for new exciting challenges while he tries to win Anabelle's forgiveness in the upcoming episode of the Baller series. Angie, Joe and Charles return to the field will keep things exciting in the lives of the Ballers. Ballers airs on HBO every Sunday.
