Outlander's Tobias Menzies takes on a new role as the new Lycan in Underworld 5

Tobias Menzies known for his role in Outlander and Casino Royale is taking on a new role portrayal in the upcoming new installment of Underworld, the Underworld 5. Tobias Menzies will be joining the line up of Kate Beckinsale and Theo James in the said upcoming film.

IMDB news shared that Tobias Menzies has joined the cast of Underworld 5 as Marius. Marius character is a mysterious new member of the Lycans in Underworld's new film installment. The Outlander actor will star alongside the movie's lead character, Kate Beckinsale, which will also be joined by Theo James who also appeared in previous Underworld movies.

Underworld is a known box-office film since its first premiered in the year 2003 and showcased its last movie in 2012. The movie has grossed more than $450 million in a global box office phase, Comingsoon.net featured. Underworld was first directed by Len Wiseman in 2003; at present time, Anne Foerster is slated to direct Underworld 5 making her the first female director in the history of Underworld series.

Underworld 5 is entitled Underworld: Next Generation. With Tobias Menzies role as a Lycan, he is set to have a werewolf future like what Lycans really are; thus can take a human form. To refresh, vampires and Lycans are at war and known enemies for centuries. Tobias Menzies as Marius is also ventured to lead a new group of Lycans, and they aim is to push through with the war against the vampires, International Business Times Australia reported.

This could be the first time that the actor will be in a high-budget film aside from the James Bond blockbuster movie, Casino Royale. Currently, he still is filming his TV series Outlander. For updates about their Underworld: Next Generation shoot, it could start anytime soon as the movie is said to be released October of 2016.
