Alien 5 Updates: Production and Released Date Postponed, Gives Way For Ridley Scott's Prometheus 2?

The production and the released date for the upcoming Neill Blomkamp's sci-fi thriller film Alien 5 were postponed. Ridley Scott insists that Prometheus 2 should be first released before the latest Alien movie installment.

The Coming Soon reported that 20th Century Fox on hold the film letting Scott's Prometheus 2012 film sequel finish first. It also added that the Alien 5 film is still in the process. There's still so much work to do since Blomkamp is still working on the scripts, designs and doing some refinement for his tale. He's also revealed that Ridley Scott is working on producing his 2012 sequel and insisted that Prometheus 2 should be first to be made.

So far, the timetable would be Scott's Prometheus 2 will start its filming in 2016 and will be out next year, 2017. On the other, Blomkamp's Alien 5 will start its filming same year, 2017 and will be out of course in 2018, the Empire wrote. So, there's still plenty of time for Blomkomps' Alien film to furnish everything and continue more developments for his film since it was the movie's screenplay is still in the process and only the film's outline's been made. While Alien 5 is still in the process, it should be able to avoid any problems with the casts' schedule.

The International Business Times also wrote that it is not the only reason for Fox to balance the decisions to have Scott's film sequel Prometheus to be first, they also want to certain Sigourney Weaver's appearance on the Alien 5 film again and will reprise her role.

So, the film is still confirmed to be in production. There's still more about the film "Alien 5" and it is still developing. Blomkamp already teases the Alien movie fans about it, so there's still too much excitement even if there's a big change on the film's production and release date.
