"Fear The Walking Dead," the AMC spin-off series for "The Walking Dead" will be premiering on Sunday, August 23 and the network just released a video showing the characters that will be seen in the show. The characters for this show will be different from the characters of the original series.
In a report by Coming Soon.net, "Fear The Walking Dead" was approved to initially have two seasons. Its pilot episode will also have an extended 90-minute episode. The drama is said to be featuring the onset of the apocalypse through a fractured family. According to the report, the series is set in a city where people come to escape and shield secrets. Due to this, the stability of the city will be disrupted as resentful and escapist children will be in the area.
Madison Clark, played by Kim Dickens, a guidance counselor, and English teacher Travis Manawa, played by Cliff Curtis, were two of the first characters introduced in the video. The show also stars Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia, and Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris. Details about the other characters are yet to be seen in the show's pilot episode.
Meanwhile, Executive Producer Dave Erickson shared that the reason that they made the spin-off series was because the success of "The Walking Dead" is skyrocketing. He shares that for "Fear The Walking Dead," the love how they have written it and feels that people will enjoy it as much as they do for "The Walking Dead," Wral.com shared.
However, he did tease that there will be episodes wherein the much-loved zombies are not present and that they want to keep it that way even for Season 2.
