Sony PlayStation 5 is speculated to replace the old disc drive with Ultra HD disc drive. However, there are talks of scrapping the disc drive. It is still uncertain until at least 2018. Additionally, it is rumoured to be priced at $600.
Sony PS5 reports and rumors are spreading over the net where speculations purport that PlayStation 5 would be capable of Ultra HD UBER Resolution. Moreover, it is reported to scrap the disc drive support.
With the launch of Ultra HD Blu ray, Tech Radar wrote that Sony would be keeping the new disc format for PS5. Additionally, UHD disc drive won't be surprising in the next version of Sony PlayStation.
Though the PlayStation magazine drops the demo disc last year, Ben Wilson (ex editor of Official PlayStation Magazine) disagrees on phasing out the disc drive support. Disc drives are becoming less necessary because of Steam on PC.
As to possible release date of Sony PlayStation 5, pundits say that it wil lbe 2020 based on the previous consoles' release interval. PS1 was released twenty years ago followed by PS2 after five years and three months. PS3 was released six years and eight months after PS2 followed by the latest PS4 with seven years gap. PCadvisor has come to a point that Sony doesn't follow a strict pattern with its console releases.
The fast-paced development of technology could mean the PS5 rears its head much sooner. PCadvisor suspected PlayStation 5 to become a realistic option until at least 2018. The PS5PlayStation5 blog site has revealed the PlayStation 5's price through calculating the price of other Sony PlayStation devices. The blog also assume that inflation would affect to PS5's price.
However, there are some rumors which suggest that PS5 will be one of the the cheapest consoles ever. PlayStation 5 is still uncertain at the moment but probably the next Sony PlayStation is a blast. The future of gaming lays entirely in software, services and super-fast internet connections.
