Nina Dobrev Went Emotional When Accepting an Award for Her Previous Show, The Vampire Diaries

One of the lead stars of The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev left the show last April which has disappointed millions of the show's fans. The actress was quite emotional during last Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards.

Dobrev won the award for Best TV Actress: Sci/Fi Fantasy and turned emotional during her acceptance speech for the award. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress stated that the last few months after leaving the show was a big change for her, after being a part of it for six years. For her, she grew up with the show along with the character(s) she portrayed, thus feeling an extreme change for her life for leaving the series.

The 26-year-old explained how change is necessary in this world, as reported by New York Daily News. She said that change is needed to better oneself especially knowing the reality that at some point, some things always have to come to an end, thus explaining that the part of her life with The Vampire Diaries has ended. She is definitely grateful for everything the show has done for her and her growth as a person and as an actress. She thanks the producers of the show Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, saying she wouldn't be where she is now if it wasn't for them and that she will always be grateful for everything.

According to LA Times, Julie Plec said that Dobrev is more than welcome to come back to the show given that she has done a great job for the last six years that she has been a part of it. Dobrev closed her acceptance speech by claiming that change is coming and that it is inevitable, it should be welcomed with open arms always.

Nina Dobrev is now enjoying the change that has happened since she left the show, accepting whatever it is that may come her way. There is no way to know if she will come back to the show, as opened by Plec. If so, it will definitely be another kind of change for the actress.
