View Systems, Inc. announced today that Dr. Leo A. Guthart has directly invested into View Systems. View Systems is a fast growing supplier of security products for government offices, event planners, schools and banks. The proceeds of Dr. Guthart's acquisition of shares from View Systems will be utilized to increase its sales activity and the development of new products.
Dr. Guthart manages a venture capital fund, Topspin Partners and an acquisition fund, Topspin Partners LBO. Before Topspin Partners, Dr. Guthart worked as Chief Executive for Operations of Pittway Corporations' Security Group where he headed the biggest manufacturer of security equipment globally. In 2000, it was sold to Honeywell International. Dr. Guthart's long list of renowned companies where he worked and achieved his expertise in the security industry is quite extensive and as such. he will always be considered an icon in the security industry.
