Assassin's Creed Syndicate certainly has been one of the most talked about continuations to a long-running franchise this year. With the game approaching its designated launch date, there are a number of factors that will either make or break the game, as the previous Assassin's Creed installment has struck numerous nerves.
With the past expansion of the Assassin's Creed franchise being so-called rusty, unsatisfactory and not as good as what was expected, Assassin's Creed Syndicate has some tricks up its sleeves that will make the game more than what the fans have bargained for. But as an entirety, gamers have also stated a few pointers that developer Ubisoft must certainly put into consideration.
As recently reported by Hardcore Gamer, the plot of Assassin's Creed Syndicate revolves around 18th Century Victorian London. Twins Jacob and Evie Frye aim to take down criminal groups in stealthy, violent and innovative ways. One of the more intriguing factors would be the overly utilizable vehicles or carriages and horses that can not only be used for mobility, but also as an offensive means and finally, hiding spots for each of the two protagonists.
While in the talk of lead characters, Evie Frye, the playable female assassin, has received something that fans label as somewhat overpowered. The ability to be virtually almost invisible is one that would give Evie the advantage, but for the more professional players, this can be something that will go against the classic approach of using the natural surroundings as a cloaking tool. As recently delivered by PC Gamer, this tactical upper-hand addition can be both good and bad for the franchise.
Designing the Victorian London setting of the game is one point that makes the franchise immensely captivating. According to Gizmodo, the realistic setting of Victorian London is highly unlikely for an Assassin's Creed franchise, but it has worked fantastically, and the detailing of the location is most impressive to the fans.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate is bound to hit the shelves later this year, specifically October 23, 2015. Until then, stay tuned for more news that Ubisoft may still release.
