Minecraft famous developer Mojang has launched the latest update 1.9 snapshot 15w34b adding new attack strength combat mechanic, bug fixes and a host of new changes.
Neuro Gadget reports that Minecraft update 1.9 snapshot 15w34b is now out offering a number of changes to the melee combat mechanics, however, gamers must note that such changes are not final while the development team still needs to create a balance to the game some more prior to its release to users.
Here's the run-down of changes from update 1.9 snapshot 15w34b for Minecraft on top of the changes from prevoiusly released 15w34a as noted by iDigital Times:
- A new "attack strength" combat mechanic has been added
- The maps now start at a more useful zoom level
- A new recipe for zooming in a map has been added
- A lot of optimizations have been made
- Command blocks have been improved
- A name issue with Dragon Fireball has been fixed
- The crash that was causing breaking heads has now been fixed
Via its official website, Mojang also listed down some of the bug fixes from the latest update 1.9 snapshot 15w34b. These are the following:
- [Bug MC-83471] - "CustomPotionEffects" Inoperable with Splash / lingering Potions
- [Bug MC-85115] - Dragon Fireball doesn't have a name (entity.DragonFireball.name)
- [Bug MC-85592] - Default log4j2.xml is suboptimal
- [Bug MC-86137] - Crash when breaking heads
- [Bug MC-86138] - Pick block on Mob (Dragon) Head / Structure block crashes the game
- [Bug MC-86152] - Records lose their custom name when placed in a record player
To get the new Minecraft 15w34b snapshot, gamers can simply do the following steps:
- Open the game's Launcher and tap on the 'New Profile' button.
- After which, name it 'snapshots' or with other file name that comes to mind but can be easily remembered
- Lastly, check the box which reads 'Enable experimental development snapshots' and click save. To go back to normal version, simply choose old profile.
The important to remember before gamers start running Minecraft's snapshot version, it is strongly suggested to do a back up of the player's world or run the game in a different folder by choosing the New Profile dialog. Otherwise, it is highly possible that the fan's world will be prone to be corrupted which could result to a start-over.
