The photos and short video clips of alleged Android smartphone of Blackberry were posted by blogger Evan Blass, aka @evleaks. The leaked Blackberry "Venice" would seem to have features the same as in Blackberry 10.

@evleaks posted on Twitter a device to be released in the last quarter of this year known as the BlackBerry Venice. The leaked Android Blackberry Venice is a slim and thin rectangular handset which runs stock version of Android. Aside from the Chrome Browser, Google Drive, and Play Store icons on the home screen, there are also icons that are normally seen on Microsoft like Bing and Skype.

The Android Blackberry Venice includes BlackBerry's trademark physical keyboard which slides out from underneath the touchscreen when needed. The BlackBerry takes its keyboard very earnestly. It brought twice the patent breach that suits against typo.

If the leaked device is real, BlackBerry expects the keyboard to be an edge that sets the Venice apart from other Android smartphone devices. Additionally, Evan Blass has posted the animations of Blackberry Venice. Blackberry Hub would be the centerpiece that merges all of users' conversations, get unified contacts and calendars.

Android has invaded a big part in the smartphone industry. In 2014, BlackBerry started rolling out a software update that added Android compatibility to BlackBerry 10. Moreover, it also contracted with the Amazon to allow BlackBerry 10 users download Android apps from its online App store.

On the other hand, the reported leakster added a post of file lists which hint for the Android Blackberry smartphone. It also gives an idea that load of feature from Blackberry 10 would be in Blackberry Venice.

BlackBerry has invested deliberately in its own operating system over years. Marketing an Android smartphone would seem to be new for the company. However, Blackberry seems to have its signature in Android Blackberry Venice.
