Victor Pinchuk, the Ukranian billionaire, is filing a case in the High Court of London accusing two moguls from his country of selling him a shell company in 2005.
According to Pinchuk, he paid US$143 million Gennady Bogoliubov and Igor Kolomoisky to acquire Alcross Commercial Ltd. The two fellow Ukranians said that the company had owned a Ukranian ore mining company, namely Krivorozhskiy Zhelezorudnyy Kombinat. This was contained in the summary of the claim of Pinchuk provided by his press group.
Pinchuk further added that Alcross was 'a worthless shell company'. The claim further read, "The defendants have repeatedly promised to transfer the ore-mining company to Mr. Pinchuk but at every juncture they have failed to deliver."
The case was filed in London because Bogoliubov was based inthe area.
Pinchuk is claiming breach of contract as well as breach of trust in the case, which was issued last March 12. The claim further said that Bogoliubov and Kolomoisky are business partners with assets ranging from banks to oil and iron ore. The claim said that they may have already sold half of the ore mining company to a third party back in 2007.
