Lip Sync Battle' Update: 'Empire' Stars Taraji Henson And Terrence Howard Take On Each Other

By

"Lip Sync Battle" season 1 just ended and in the final episode of the series, "Empire" stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard battled each other. Howard was the one who won as he did his version of "I'll Make Love to You" and "Brick House."

In a report by Vulture, the finale had a two-part episode and that the two actors' performances were really an explosive battle for the show's closing episodes. For the first battle of Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, the two sang "Just Fine" and "I'll Make Love To You" respectively. The stars reportedly sang their song choices with the right emotion that the songs exude. Taraji won the first round as per fans' judgment.

For the second round of songs, Henson sang "Material Girl" while Howard sang "Brick House." According to Bustle, Taraji looked a lot like Madonna and the choreography was really great as well as the special appearance of Mary J. Blige. As for Howard, he wore the right outfit and killed it with the wig that is why Howard won this round.

Howard won the whole battle as his rendition of Rick James, overall that is, was reportedly spot-on. Fans are saying that the lip sync was very well-exhibited.

"Lip Sync Battle's" finale episode also had an interlude as Henson and Howard performed the song "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp." The episode started with the host, LL Cool J, reliving moments from the season such as Anne Hathaway's "Wrecking Ball" and Stephen Merchant's "Dirrty."

"Lip Sync Battle" is a show from Spike and a second season has already been given a green light by the network. The show is also co-hosted by model Chrissy Teigen. The show brings in two stars who will battle each other by lip syncing their song choices. They can do whatever they want and bring in guest stars for their performance in order to outshine their opponent.

There isn't any word yet as to when "Lip Sync Battle" will come back to the small screen.
