5 Seconds of Summer have been making their name even more famous that it already is over the last few months. From new singles and albums, to a massive North American and European tour, the boys of the popular band are as busy as ever. However, despite their busy schedules, all four members take their time to interact with their supporters, and the people close to their hearts that have helped them along their journey.
According to MTV, the boy's biggest inspiration is the Midden Brothers, or better known as Good Charlotte. Apparently 5 Seconds of Summer are close buddies with the Midden Brothers, Joel and Benji, and look up to them for music tips, inspirational advice, and the general boy to boy talk. The Good Charlotte brothers have been helping the young 5SOS band with their upcoming second album, 'Sounds Good Feels Good,' and along the way have formed a strong bond with the popular foursome.
Music News also reported on the closeness between the 5SOS band and Joel and Benji Midden. "They're like our big band brothers. Every day, they have another motivational speech," Calum Hood recently stated in an interview. The former Good Charlotte members recently joined the 5 Seconds of Summer boys on their latest tour 'Rock Out With your Socks Out,' were they joined and performed alongside the 5SOS boys. The Midden Brothers also helped co-write the hit single 'She's Kinda Hot' which ranked number 22 in the 100 Hot Moves Chart.
However, despite having best buddies Joel and Benji Madden backing them up, not all members of the 5SOS band have been successfully taking in the motivational words of wisdom. According to Sugar Scape, Micheal Clifford or 'Mikey' has been struggling with certain mental issues which he underwent therapy for. However, the 5SOS hunk Mikey confirmed he's all fit and ready to rock alongside his band mates. He later on stated that his mental problems were just a stage of something he needed to sort out.
Despite the hectic schedules and nonstop performances, the 5 Seconds of Summer boys are happily coping with their work load. Having the Midden Brothers by their side for support has helped the young 5SOS band with their every day struggles during their journey; through the ups and downs, 5SOS have stood strong together and are still currently on tour.
