Samsung Galaxy Note 5 commits a serious Stylus flaw which can result to features permanently disabled

Circulating reports are directly bringing up to the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 5 major flaw. Users reportedly have found a defect in the new flagship's design wherein reinserting the S Pen the wrong direction was made too easy, inactivating certain features on the phone permanently.

According to The Verge, several reports explain that once you reinserted the Note 5's S Pen into the smartphone the wrong way, it will cause your handset's stylus detection feature to be permanently disabled. The functions that might be damaged are the quickly taking notes the minute the phone's screen is off, or automatically accessing the S Pen's radial menu.

The Fortune reports that entering the pen incorrectly with the former versions of the Note is said difficult to do. It will require a user to put a firm amount of force, hence this makes the users aware that the pen was being inserted the wrong direction. On the other hand, with the new Galaxy Note 5, when the user tries to insert the pen incorrectly, it is said that it involves almost no force, which may leave the users clueless that they are mistakenly reinserting the pen in reverse.

Once the pen has been removed from its slot, it is supposed to launch both a quick note taking app and the S Pen's radial menu. However, a video of Android Police reportedly showed that these features can be permanently disabled due to the flaw of the S Pen slot. Whereas, a report from Ars Technica said that these features will be able to work again.

A statement from Vijay Michalik an Information and communication technology analyst for Frost & Sullivan said that sort of thing seemed shouldn't be unnoticed. The analyst also said that Note 5 has been the subject of the arrangement made by Samsung in which the handsets are being offered to the customers in a 30-day trial for just one dollar. Moreover, Michalik even stated that a portion of people needing them out on that trial would let down, reports BBC.

Currently, the Galaxy Note 5 is exclusively available in the US and Asia. If a European release happens, Michalik stated that this could be made complicated by the stylus incident.
