Chipotle to go on hiring spree; 4,000 people new jobs up for grabs on September 9

Chipotle announced that it will hold its first ever National Career Day on September 9 and will hire 4,000 new workers on site. All restaurant locations in the US will be open for interviews for a maximum of 60 applicants between 8-11 A.M on the said date. Interested applicants can register for their interview on their website, NationalCareerDay.com.

At the moment, Chipotle has more than 60,000 employees and new positions will likely lead present employees to promotions. In the previous year, Chipotle promoted at least 10,000 people to managerial roles who came in from entry level positions.

On September 9, managers of all Chipotle restaurants will be available to interview interested applicants. Co-chief executive Monty Moran said that the company is constantly on the lookout for talented people to join them. He said that people who love working around with other people in order to make them better are welcome regardless of their experience and background.

New employees can expect to learn a lot of things while working with the company, Moran adds. They will learn to develop their culinary skills, run a business and how to become good leaders in top performing teams. He encourages hardworking and talented people to join them on the said date.

Chipotle claims to have 13 characteristics that they base their hiring from. These include being smart, presentable, happy, enthusiastic, respectful, high energy, conscientious, motivated, hospitable, curious, ambitious, honest and polite.

Chipotle also provides career advancement courses on top of giving their employees benefits and compensation that are above regular. All employees of the company enjoy competitive benefits package including vacation leave for both part-time and full time employees as well as paid sick leave.

According to their employee survey, 90 percent agreed that they feel proud that they are part of the company and 97 percent feel that the company inculcates a culture that rewards top performing employees while also giving them opportunities to improve.
