The fight resumes in Street Fighter 5, as its Playstation 4 beta will be re-launched this coming weekend and will last for 5 days. This will run from August 28 at 4pm PST until September 2 at 7am PST. The game's beta was abruptly cut short in July due to server issues, but Capcom promised to get it back at a later date.
According to Capcom, they are now moving forward with their worldwide beta test, as they had received promising results and minimal issues from the regional tests they had been doing for the game. The game's developer also reminded everyone that since this is a beta, periodical connectivity issues may still be experienced while playing.
After a rocky initial beta test, Capcom opted to stress test the Street Fighter V servers recently. However, it is not clear which build of the game players will have access to, as stated in an IGN report.
These regional stress tests were done by territories; and once successful in a certain region, was run through another. The first series of tests were done in Europe on August 20-21, for Japan and the rest of Asia on August 22-23, and in North and South America on August 25-26.
In general, the results of these beta tests will help developers to deliver a fair, if not, excellent output to its consumers - the players. Specifically, Capcom said that the data that will be gathered in this beta will ensure that their final product - the Street Fighter 5 - will have the most optimal net code come before its official release.
On the other hand, Capcom continued to give suggestions to testers who will log into the beta; and to ensure the best possible experience in the process. Players should use a wired connection, as this is more stable than Wi-Fi. Gamers are also requested to avoid downloading files in the background while playing, as it will take up bandwidth and will slow down connection.
Street Fighter 5 is expected to be released in early 2016.
