Visceral Studios sure is making things exciting for its new Battlefield Hardline Robbery DLC. The game's developer had been making several releases on the contents of this new expansion pack. And just this week, the studio had given out information again on another gadget and a set of new weapons that will be added up in Robbery DLC. But there are confusions as to how many weapons will there really be in this upcoming downloadable content.
According to Visceral Games, as picked up by VG 24/7, there will be five new weapons in this expansion. These include the assault rifle for the Operator class, shotgun for the Enforcer class, sniper rifle for the Professional class, SMG for the Mechanic class, and SMG for all classes. But, according to Danny on PC, who was at the Gamescom 2015, there are 11 weapons in all - 5 in the paid DLC and 6 for free.
All in all, as enumerated in Master Herald, the contents of this new Battlefield Hardline Robbery DLC include four new maps, a Squad Heist gameplay mode, four unique weapons, three new gadgets, three new vehicles with upgrades and paints, and new camouflage skins.
Meanwhile, on the official Battlefield website, "a base game update will be released that will grant all players (not just Premium members, or those who purchase Robbery separately) access to new gear and weapons to help them pull off the ultimate heist." Included in this update pack is the FR Mask which is a gadget for the Operator class. This fire-resistant mask reduces - sometimes eliminates - fire damage from molotovs and incendiary grenades.
Another one is the throwback Carbine rifle which has less range than a typical Carbine or assault rifle, but causes increased damage. Hardline players will also have a new sidearm that really packs a punch. The other interesting add-on is the throwing knife. This deadly weapon might have a limited range, but can deliver deadly results.
With all these additional weapons and base game updates for the Battlefield Hardline, Visceral Studios is definitely trying to expand its audience and entice new ones to join in the pack. Battlefield Hardline: Robbery will be released in September.
