Greg Jenko and Morton Schmidt are set for another adventure in 23 Jump Street and Channing Tatum posted a photo hinting what could be the possible plot for the upcoming sequel. Former directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord revealed that they are likely not to direct, but they also said that writer Rodney Rothman already has ideas set for the film's plot.
As reported by Movie News Guide, Channing Tatum who plays Jenko posted a photo on Instagram of himself wearing a fake Hungarian mustache and a furry coat. However, Tatum did not reveal more about the photo with its caption simply saying, "Let's just not even go into what this about."
Tatum's look in his post resemble his overall look in 24 Jump Street in the fake trailer for pseudo sequels shown in the credits of the previous film. As revealed by Den of Geek, Miller and Lord revealed that they are working on the sequel but they are likely not to come back as directors and will work as producers instead.
Although not much has been revealed for the sequel, Miller and Lord stated that Rothman already has his ideas ready for the plot saying, "[Rodney Rothman] had a really outrageous idea for what to do, and how we could take our scorched-earth sequel policy from the end of 22 Jump Street and do something that hadn't been explored in those 22 sequels and simultaneously tell the next chapter in the story."
Tatum is set to reprise his role as Jenko along with Jonah Hill who is also set to come back as Schmidt. the two are set to continue their shenanigans in the big screen however, it has not been revealed yet whether the upcoming film will be a sequel or a Men in Black crossover, as reported by Cosmopolitan UK.
No director has been confirmed to helm the upcoming 23 Jump Street and no release date has been announced yet. However, more details are expected to be released in the upcoming months as production progresses.
