In an announcement, Ed Bussey said that it had closed GBP1 million as investment in Quill. Quill is a content creation platform created in 2011.
The investors in the round include Ariadne Capital's Fund as well as leading angel investors such as Shakil Khan, Rupert Ashe, Karen Hanton, Andrew Burge, Nick Beare, Peter Read and Andrew Grahame.
Previously Quill was known iTrigga, it provides businesses with top quality, web optimized content regardless of topic or language. The service has helped businesses such as Shop Direct Group, Swiftcover/AXA, Aegis and WPP increase its revenues and improve its online reputation.
To respond to the increasing demand for online content, Quill had developed a platform that utilizes the workflow as well as quality and efficiency of a global network of writers, editors and video production experts in over 30+ languages. Quill provides the more cost efficient and low effort manner of the production of digital content compared to traditional content production firms.
According to Quill's founder and CEO, Ed Bussey, "We have an outstanding investor base of leading digital entrepreneurs and we wanted to build on that investment approach with the 'Entrepreneurs Backing Entrepreneurs' ethos of Ariadne's investment platform. Ariadne has backed some explosive growth companies over the past decade, and we're excited to be joining their portfolio."
