iZombie, the surprise hit of the past tv season, returns for Season 2 on October 6, 2015. EP Dianne Ruggiero-Wright reveals that the second season will mainly focus on the aftermath of the revelation of Liv Moore's secret. Foremost on the fans' minds however is what happens to Liv and Major's relationship after Liv turned him into a zombie to save his life at the end of Season 1.
In an interview with Hollywoodlife , Dianne Ruggiero-Wright says that there is definitely a potential for a love-life for Liv and Major. However, this will not be easy since Major will be dealing with a lot of issues and he will not handle them well. She further tells fans that writers are finding a way to include a sex life between the two. How that is possible between two zombies is yet to be worked on.
Another cliffhanger at the end of the first season is Blaine becoming human. Rob Thomas, the series co-creator and EP tells TVLine that Season 2 will see Liv and Blaine become strange bedfellows. Unlike in Season 1 when the two were rarely seen together on screen, this time, they will work together as they share a common enemy in Vaughn. If they will be working a lot together, could it even be possible that something romantic will develop between them?
Thomas further reveals the appearance of Liv's father in the new season. They do not know just yet if he becomes a series regular or just a recurring character.
Rob Thomas teased fans in Hypable about the brains in the first three episodes of the new season: Grumpy old brain, Bro-licious frat boy brain and real housewife of Seattle brain. Rose McIver said that she hopes season 2 will bring her brains that are right in her wheelhouse although she likes the challenges of the season 1 brains.
