Vin Diesel is humanity's only protector from evil witches in the recent trailer released for The Last Witch Hunter. He also revealed some of their behind-the-scenes experience while filming and their plans for a sequel.
A second trailer was released for the upcoming film showing Diesel as his immortal witch character Kaulder. The trailer shows Kaulder many many years ago when he still had his wife and daughter with him, until the present day when he still continues to fight against the evil monsters and witches to protect humanity.
As reported by We Got This Covered, Kaulder lived for many centuries and with his ties to the order of the Axe and the Cross, he fights the monsters who wants to breach the barrier between the human world and the next. In the upcoming movie, he will come face to face against the Queen Witch who cursed him with an eternal life on Earth, and has returned from the dead seeking for revenge for her death.
Meanwhile, talking to Yahoo, Diesel shared details about filming the movie and when he saw the trailer, Diesel instantly remembered that the cast and crew were sneezing after filming the scene where he was with his wife, and child.
"This was a very interesting moment, because we were shooting in the fields, and they wanted a particle effect," Diesel revealed. "And at the end of the day, everyone was sneezing. And then we realized what we were using was big bags of pollen," he added.
According to the actor, a sequel for the upcoming film is already in the works. According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, they are planning to title the next film after the order that helps Kaulder in his mission, "It's funny that you say Axe and Cross," said Diesel. "Because that's the title of the sequel that they want me to do."
Aside from Diesel, the roster for The Last Witch Hunter also includes Elijah Wood, Rose Leslie, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Julie Engelbrecht, and Rena Owen. It is directed by Breck Eisner and is set to hit theatres in October 23, 2015.
