Lots of rumors have been swirling around the internet that premium Android smartphones are failing because they are trying so hard to be Apple and putting too much effort in cloning the iPhones. The decline could also be linked to the fact that premium Android handsets are too expensive; the market is getting crowded with tons of devices here and there; and, too much competition among the tech companies.
Premium Android smartphones are dying, ZDNet reports. Could these be a thing from the past? Notice that the sales of these smartphones do not seem to be as compelling as compared before. According to Charles Arthur, a journalist, the Android sales have already hit the wall. It is also worth noting that the key player in this industry, which is Apple, is the only player that is soaring high and has spectacular growth. Other tech companies, including Samsung, HTC, Sony, and LG are struggling to get back on track or maintain the demand of their products.
According to IDC analyst, Tom Mainelli, these premium Android smartphones won't likely to go away any time soon. He said that it just got harder for companies to find success at the high end of the market. This may hold true or otherwise. As long as the companies give their best effort to supply the needs and demands of the consumers, it's still great to wish them luck in producing more valuable and high-quality products.
In today's modern age, everything has been rapidly changing, especially in the world of technology. No wonder everyone sees and experiences updates and upgrades for their gadgets time after time. However, some tech companies in this fast-paced world cannot seem to maintain the quality and sales of their products anymore.
It might be the beginning of the end of the premium Android smartphones, but no one really knows. As long as Android users are happy and satisfied with their handsets, no matter how much it costs, they are still willing to purchase it.
