'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Cast Update: Pilou Asbæk plays Euron Greyjoy; New settings expected

HBO's "Game of Thrones", one of the most anticipated TV series worldwide, is on its way to the development of the sixth season. As the "Game of Thrones" season 5 ended quickly this year, it has become the talk of the town as it featured the death of the newly elected Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Jon Snow. Many people are left hanging with the question "what will happen next?"

In season 6, new characters arise. Aside from Ian McShane whose role is not yet specified and Max Von Sydow who will fill-in the role of Bran Stark's mentor, according to Variety, it was also confirmed that Pilou Asbæk will be joining the upcoming season.

Pilou Asbæk, a Danish actor, will be taking the role of Euron Greyjoy. He is the younger brother of the Lord of the Iron Lands, Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide), and the uncle of Theon (Alfie Allen) and Yara (Gemma Whelan).

In an article posted on VineReport, it was in the book that Arya Stark heard a prophetic dream that foretold Renly Baratheon's death, Caitlyn Starks's resurrection as Lady Stoneheart, and Balon's doom. That led Arya Stark to know how Balon Greyjoy died even before the notorious Red Wedding. He died after crossing a bridge in the middle of a raging storm.

Hearsays declared that Pilou Asbæk's character will be easily identified due to the patch on his left eye and soon be called "Crow's Eyes". Hence, if the script follows what was written on the book, Pilou Asbæk will be playing as the dangerous captain pirate of a ship named "Silence".

On another news, the Watchers on the Wall has confirmed that the "Game of Thrones" cast and crews started filming in Girona, Spain for Braavos and King's Landing and in Ballintoy, Northern Ireland for the Ironmen.

Alfie Allen, as part of the Ironmen, was reported to be in Ballintoy. A picture of his hotel room with a view overlooking the ocean posted in his official Instagram account with the caption "Not a bad view from my room this week!" served as an evidence.

While filming in Ballintoy, reports said Aeron Greyjoy was part of the shooting this week but, it wasn't revealed as to who was playing the role yet. The actor who portrayed the role of the Drowned Priest in the second season will not act as Aeron Greyjoy, that's why. It was also confirmed that Alfie Allen and Pilou Asbæk were spotted filming together in the Ironborn shooting.

Maisie Williams, who's currently shooting in Girona, is also expected to have a very impressive action stunt as photos and clips of her stunt double goes viral.

Lastly, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) was seen heading to the Riverlands together with his new loyal comrade, Bronn (Jerome Flynn). Maybe or maybe not, they are on a shooting.

Reports say "Game of Thrones" season 6 will mainly focus on the North. It is slated to be out in Spring 2016.
