Aside from preparing for his lead role in Kong: Skull Island, Tom Hiddleston is about to go on a series of movie premieres. With Crimson Peak , High Rise and I Saw the Light to be released before he starts filming for Kong, the famous actor has a busy schedule ahead of him.
The 34-year-old British actor is now geared towards the release of horror fantasy movie 'Crimson Peak'. Just Jared recently snapped photos of the actor looking dapper in a suit in the streets of London. According to the site, Hiddleston will soon be promoting his upcoming thriller, which hits theaters on October 16.
Without a doubt, Crimson Peak's Sir Thomas Sharpe will be in sharp contrast to Hiddleston's character may be playing in Kong: Skull Island. For one the King Kong prequel is set in 1971, in an island home to the largest and angriest apes.
Speaking to Belfast Telegraph, Guillermo del Toro, director of Crimson Peak, "felt that Tom was the perfect person to play the role of Sir Thomas". The director quips that the personification of "dark, brooding, hero" is in Hiddleston's talents. Del Toro compares Sharpe to Mr. Darcy, except that you find him "doing something unspeakable."
On November 27, Hiddleston will premiere I Saw the Light, a film adaptation of the book Hank Williams: The Biography by Colin Escott. Playing the lead role, Hiddleston, or Loki as many fans love and know him for, will star alongside fellow Avenger star Elizabeth Olsen, the Scarlet Witch. The film will be screened earlier at the Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, starting on September 10.
High Rise is the third film he has to premiere before he films Kong: Skull Island. While there is no set commercial release date for the film, it will be part of the 63rd San Sebastián Film Festival. Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans, Elizabeth Moss and Hiddleston are set to attend on September 18.
While it is the waiting time for new King Kong movie, Tom Hiddleston can't help but gush over his next project. According to Day Herald, the character actor has been involved from the very start. He remarks that Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the director, has an "extraordinary vision" and will definitely bring it to life in a remarkable way.
Hiddles, as his fanbase would call him, promises that the newest King Kong story will be "ambitious and "epic". He also teases the fans that it will be something new and unseen, even if it is a prequel.
It is highly anticipated when more definite details on the character and plot of the story will be announced to the public. With Tom Hiddleston's Crimson Peak and his two other film commitments, one or two will definitely collide the start of the Kong: Skull Island filming. The movie is in its pre-production; filming is scheduled just before the end of 2015 and release dateis March 10, 2017.
