Katie Rees is busted once again. In a span of 2 months, the former Miss Nevada USA was arrested due to drug possession and consumption for the second time around. The arrest reportedly happened when the dethroned beauty queen and her boyfriend of 10 months, Kevin "DJ Kulprit" Sims, were asked to pull over by the police for over speeding in Las Vegas.
Born Katherine Nicole Rees or known as Katie Rees, the former Miss Nevada USA of 2006 was arrested along the way. Police asked her to pull over because of over speeding and failing to signal. According to E! Online, the police smelled marijuana while speaking with Kevin Sims and asked if there are any in the car.
Moreover, when Kevin Sims hesitated, the police already acted and put the couple in handcuffs. The authorities reportedly searched inside the vehicle and found a jar of a "date-rape" drug and a bag of marijuana. In an MSN feature, it was revealed that other types, including Xanax, Oxycontin and meth, were also discovered and were confirmed to be Rees'. The former beauty queen then confessed that she indeed smoked meth earlier that day before the arrest happened.
Even before the event, Rees has already been involved in various issues and allegations. She was dethroned as Miss Nevada USA in her year for her posting racy photos online, which reportedly featured improper conduct and pose of character. As noted by New York Daily News, she was also arrested previously for 5 counts of misdemeanor traffic violations and resistance to arrest.
The dethroned beauty queen will be facing the charges she had last year, which was due to various drug possession and traffic violations. Though the authorities are still investigating her case, they are said to sentence Rees eventually in consequence of her recent defilements.
