Johnny Depp and wife Amber Heard slammed the rumors about their marriage troubles through happily walking down the red carpet together at the Venice Film Festival. However, the "Magic Mike XXL" actress is currently facing a possible jail sentence due to smuggling her dogs in Australia. She managed to adjourn her case until later this year, but the charges she faces are serious and may lead to imprisonment.

According to a report from the Daily Mail UK , Johnny Depp, 52, and Amber Heard, 29, were recently rumored to be having marital problems. After not being pictured together for two months straight, rumors started spreading that the couple were already struggling with their relationship. However, despite the rumors, the couple proudly made their way down the red carpet at Venice Film Festival as their attended the "Black Mass" premiere last Friday.

Though the couple's relationship may be working out well, another report from Mirror UK explains how Amber Heard may face prison time after smuggling two dogs in a private plane last April. Apparently the Southport Magistrates Court in Queensland will hear the matter after Amber brought their two canines into the country (Australia) earlier this year via private jet without declaring them on the in-flight manifest.

According to BBC World Australia, Amber was not present at the hearing at her lawyers were able to seek an adjournment of the matter to a later date. It's been confirmed that the court hearing will now take place on November 2nd, 2015. Amber Heard could possible face up to 10 years in jail and a fine of $100,000 for not declaring her dogs. Though the private plane used belonged to Johnny Depp, the actor is not being charged.

With the drama of the dog situation becoming a serious matter, Johnny Depp has stood by his wife, Amber Heard since the beginning of the ordeal. After clearing rumours that their marriage was on the verge of a breakdown, the two have continued to support each other, and showed the media that they are very much in love. Seeing as Australia has strict quarantine laws to prevent diseases being imported into the islands nation, Ambers case is looked upon very seriously. The court hearing will continue in November, when a possible verdict may be given.
