Chris Brown has found himself in yet another heated situation. After being accused of not turning up in a show due to a gay crowd being present, the 26-year-old singer took to Twitter to slam the accusations. The 'breezy' star was supposedly scheduled at a massive party during Atlanta Black Gay Pride Weekend; apparently Brown bailed and took the retainer fee with him.
In a report from Eonline, Melissa Scott, the founder of the entertainment group Traxx Girls, and sponsor of the event Brown supposedly pulled out of, opened up to Georgia Voice regarding Chris Brown's sudden and unexpected absence in the show.
According to her, Brown pulled out from the event after he was informed that gay men would be present in the audidence. The show that took place in Atlanta was billed as the biggest girl party in the country with over 4,000 women present at the venue.
However, according to International Business Times, the RnB singer had no idea he was scheduled for an appearance at the said event. After hearing of the accusations Melissa Scott made, Brown took to Twitter to set the story straight.
The Georgia Voice reported on the tweets the famous singer tweeted slamming the accusations; "I wasn't aware or informed of a show I supposedly cancelled. I have nothing but love and respect for the LGBT COMMUNITY." Brown then added, "The show was never confirmed by any of my people. So I apologise if the fans wanted me there," he then finished off his statement with, "I honestly wasn't booked for the show. Hopefully in the future we can do it right. Much love LGBT2."
Though it's been confirmed Chris Brown was not scheduled to perform, he apparently agreed to introduce a female R&B singer prior to her performance. Sources are currently waiting for Melissa Scott's comments on the singers twitter explanation, while Chris Brown continues to deny he has any issues with the LGBT community.
