September 9, marks the unveiling of Apple's much-awaited product lineup. The most-anticipated Apple event happened on this day to reveal the new iPhone 6S, iPad Pro, iPad Mini 4, Apple TV, Apple Watch, and mobile operating system.
iPhone 6S will be one of the biggest announcements on the Apple event, as previously reported by VCPost. Once again, the rumors about the new iPhone are exactly right. As officially announced, iPhone 6S has an A9 chip and M9 motion co-processor, a 3D Touch feature, 12-megapixel rear iSight camera capable of shooting 4K video, 5-megapixel front-facing FaceTime camera with screen flash, and 16GB internal storage. Additionally, it has a rose gold color option, stronger glass and Series 7000 aluminum, as well as Live Photos feature.
iPhone 6S and 6S Plus deliver up to 70% faster CPU performance and up to 90% quicker graphics. The 3D Touch feature enables users to make a "peek and pop" gestures on the screen to access shortcuts or preview content, such as calendar appointments, text messages, flight information, and more. A new Taptic Engine inside the new iPhone is also included, which allows haptic feedback to get touch-based responses when using the 3D Touch. Moreover, a next-generation Touch ID fingerprint scanner is highlighted in iPhone 6S.
Aside from the rose gold color option, iPhone 6S also comes in silver, gold, and space gray colors. The costs of iPhone 6S are $199, $299, and $399 for 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB respectively on a two-year contract. On the other hand, the iPhone 6S Plus cost starts at $299 for 16GB on the same contract as the iPhone 6S. Also, Apple has announced its own iPhone upgrade program that lets users get new iPhone each year starting at $32.41 per month.
Apple's newest iPhone will be available for pre-order on Saturday, September 12. The official launch will be on September 25 in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and United Kingdom. iPhone 6S will be available in over 130 countries by the end of 2015.
