Caitlyn Jenner finally confessed her own thoughts regarding her involvement in the tragic car collision that happened in February. Jenner revealed that she's afraid of being sent to men's prison although she doesn't have any regrets on her transition.
According to E! Online, the 65-year-old former athlete was interviewed on the Today show with host Matt Lauer which was shown Wednesday morning, September 9. The said tragic car collision happened in California's Pacific Coast Highway resulting in the death of a woman. Caitlyn Jenner says, "I remember it very little, I remember it happening and that's about it." She is currently forbidden to talk much about the case because of the pending litigation. She says, a tragedy like this is impossible to forget, it just need to learn to live with it.
The former "Bruce Jenner" narrated on the interview, "I was under the speed limit. I was going 46 in a 50. My airbag didn't even go off. All I probably needed was half a second of time. I almost stopped, but couldn't quite get it stopped. I was pulling a trailer, so, no, I don't think it was speed or anything like that."
It was reported that she might be charged with manslaughter by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The family of the deceased victim has sued her regarding the case and Jenner could be sent to county jail, the US Magazine wrote.
Caitlyn Jenner also expressed her feelings of the possibility of being sent to a men's prison, a situation she's afraid of. "It is an enormous problem that they would put trans women in a men's county jail," adding this could be the "worst-case scenario" for her.
The Daily Mail wrote that on the interview with Lauer, Jenner revealed she don't feel any remorse on her transitioning, neither missing being a man. Jenner feels so lucky to have experienced living a life of both genders. The 65-year-old also says she's more enjoying her life today and she's feeling great.
Caitlyn Jenner is currently waiting for the verdict. She could serve a year of jail time if indicted.
