Two months had passed since he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last July. Now Curtis Jackson, also known as 50 Cent, boasts his brand-new house located in Africa. Still, no one's ever going to stop the rapper from getting what he wants even when faced with bankruptcy.
The "In Da Club" hit rapper uploaded a video on his Instagram account which shows the features of his new home in Africa, according to Business Insider. The huge house is almost done with a few finishing touches.
He placed a caption that says, "My crib is almost finished in AFRICA!" and "I'm gonna have the craziest House warming party ever. I'll explain later, I got a good life Man."
Presently, the rapper is facing compensation claims. The rapper is obligated to pay USD5 million to Lastonia Leviston as compensation with regards to the court case involving the rapper spreading a sex video of her and her boyfriend on the Internet. The court favored Leviston. Another court-ordered compensation placed on him was for Sleek Audio. Their collaboration for producing headphones was not a success and now he needs to pay USD18 million.
It was earlier reported two weeks ago on Daily Mail that the 40-year-old rapper has put up his Connecticut estate for sale, pricing it at $8.3 million. It was also revealed that it costs $72,000 a month maintaining the 50,000 square-foot huge house.
According to the Huffington Post, it seemed weird that after filling for bankruptcy, he goes out of his way to boast about his high-priced property. Last July, he revealed that the filling is just part of his "protective financial move" and said he's just doing what a businessman should do.
The rapper says, "You know when you're successful and stuff, you become a target. I don't wanna be a bull's-eye. I don't want anybody to pick me as the guy that they just come to with astronomical claims and go through all that."
Looking into it, 50 Cent still gets everything and does what he wants. Also, the rapper has a habit of showing off what he has through social media. It's enough proof that he's not penniless anymore.
