Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed got married only a few months ago, however the couple is already having marital problems. The actor is all for starting a family and settling down, however his wife appears to have other plans. With the arguments over the baby issues arising, the two seem to be heading towards a divorce.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Ian Somerhalder desperately wants to start a family. The "Vampire Diaries" star is now 36 years old and thinks it's about time he and his wife start having kids. However, with Nikki Reed being 10 years younger, kids are nowhere near the top of her to-do list just yet.
Apparently, the couple had planned on having a 'honeymoon' baby after their wedding last April. However, once the wedding was over with, Nikki decided to pull out of their agreement and asked her husband to wait until both of their hectic schedules loosen up.
In a report from Youth Health Mag, Nikki just recently joined the cast of "Sleepy Hollow." With a new role to fill, the 27-year-old actress will have to focus on her career and yet again delay her pregnancy plans with Ian. Some reports state that as Ian nears his 40's, the hot hunk is getting even more desperate to start a family. Being known to love kids, Ian previously broke up with his ex-girlfriend because she wasn't ready to settle down and start a family.
Realty Today reported that now Reed is finally starting to establish her name in the industry, all she wants to do is work. This didn't go down well with her husband, and arguments started penetrating their relationship. Apparently, Nikki loves pets and the couple has several dogs; according to a report the newest cast member of "Sleepy Hollow" is happy enough with her pets, and would prefer to foster more animals than start a family at the moment.
With the different rumours and stories speculating, it can't be sure whether the couple is actually struggling to make a decision and move on in their relationship. Though it's clear that Nikki Reed wants to focus on her uprising career, husband Ian Somerhalder isn't at all impressed with his wife breaking their agreement on having a baby.
