Last year, "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" has the most received renewal of the X-Men film franchise, but it was obviously lacking major characters from the earlier films due to plot cast and restrictions. But as "X-Men Apocalypse" sets out for its release, it makes sure that fans can expect the appearance of the main characters this time.
MovieNewsGuide reported that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will jump back to ten years before the time shown in the previous film. It will focus on what happened 10 years ago. According to Brian Singer, the movie director, the film is about how the X-Men started. "This movie is about how the X-Men truly started," Singer said.
As it was reported on Cosmicbook, the main characters that were missing from the "X-Men Days of Future Past" will be back for its sequel movie. The article also mentioned that Stan Lee will be playing a cameo appearance. Lee said that he did the cameo with another important person to him and that made the role different from any other role that he has done.
Another character is also creating her name into the upcoming movie. As it was reported on MoviePilot, Sophie Turner, best known as Sansa Stark on one of the most anticipated TV series "Game of Thrones", will take the role of the young Jean Grey/Phoenix in X-Men: Apocalypse. According to Turner, she will be portraying the two sides of Jean whom she defines as a reject in the human world. As a preparation for the role, she took archery lessons which may imply that Jean Grey will be using an arrow and a bow.
As far as the star character discussion is involved, there are confirmed updates about James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Lucas Till, Nicholas Hoult, and Michael Fassbender replaying their old characters. However, there are new stars that will be playing important roles like Olivia Munn, Oscar Issac, Ty Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Lana Candor, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Sophie Turner.
"X-Men Apocalypse" movie will be about the appearance of the oldster and immortal mutants. It will also feature Magneto and his son, Quicksilver, who might be siding Charles Xavier and fight against his own father. The upcoming movie is slated for its release on May 27, 2016.
