Hotel Transylvania 2 just released 2 new preview clips following their barrage of teasers and featurettes. The sequel of the beloved animation movie includes the returning old cast and 2 new central characters: Dennis and Vlad. Hotel Transylvania will also welcome new customers: humans!
According to Sony Pictures, Hotel Transylvania 2 is about Drac's worry over his half-human, half-vampire grandson Dennis who does not show any vampiric qualities at all. The 2 new preview clips show how Drac and his pack try to train Dennis to be a monster.
This will prevent Mavis and Johnny from moving out of Hotel Transylvania. Not mention, Drac's grumpy, picky father Vlad, might raise hell when he finds out that "his great-grandson is not a pure blood." He does all this while entertaining monsters and humans in his hotel, including Mavis' in-laws.
The Huffington Post introduced the voicebehind Dennis, Asher Blinkoff. The 6-year-old boy loved doing the voice, but loved going around the studio lot in a golf cart the most. The little boy's parents, Saul and Marion Blinkoff, are also involved in the animation and voice acting world.
On the other hand, Sony Pictures Animation picked Mel Brooks to voice Vlad. an American film director, screenwriter, comedian, actor, producer, composer, and songwriter.
In an article by Inquirer, "Hotel Transylvania 2" is set 7 years after the first Hotel Trasylvania, which makes Drac 539 years old , Mavis 125 years old and Johnny 28 years old.
Some movie facts were also listed there. Vlad, aside from having a coffin-like head was originally intended to come from an "olde school castle" like the archetypal idea of a vampire. In the end, it was decided that a cave should do it, to show how the gravity of his seclusion.
Hotel Transylvania 2 opens in September 23. Aside from new preview clips, characters and human guests, the animated film also brings back Selena Gomez, Adam Sandler, Steve Buscemi, David Spadeand Kevin James to reprise their respective voice acting roles. Keegan-Michael Key replaces Cee-lo Green as the mummy Murray.
