Every DC has seen versions and versions of Superman and his history, but not about his cousin. Recently, "Supergirl" became the main attraction of the CBS new version of the DC Comics franchise. It's just about time that the world knows more about "Supergirl" and things that she has kept hidden for a long time.

"Supergirl" finally came to the limelight. The role as reported by The Los Angeles Times was given to the beautiful former "Glee" costar named Melissa Benoist. As "Supergirl" comes back in October to CBS, the series will be backed by the same production team that brought DC fans "Arrow" and "The Flash".

"Supergirl" also known as Kara is a unique character that has avoided the limelight. In comparison to her cousin, Superman, Screenrant revealed that Kara is featured much richer character than just being known as "Superman's cousin." Her life, her storyline is unpredictable which means it will bring more interesting plot to her story.

For the non-followers and fans of "Supergirl", the female version of Superman was the collaborative creation of writer Otto Binder and artist Al Plastino in the year 1959. She also escaped Krypton the same time as her cousin, but was stuck in the Phantom zone. She arrived to earth at the age of 24.

When she is not out saving the world, she becomes the nerdy Kara Danvers, who have a simple job of running errands for her boss. IGN conveyed that Kara is living in National City and working as an assistant for Catco Worldwide Media mogul Cat Grant. Kara lived her years trying to fit in that she even forgot to appreciate who she is and the power she possessed.

"Supergirl" captivated the world. As Kara takes to the skies to protect the world that she loved, her life is also transformed. The next season of "Supergirl" will assure each fans the beauty of this elusive girl with amazing powers that will change the world.
