Jon Hamm finally comes out on the public after he and his girlfriend of 18 years, Jennifer Westfeldt decided to call it quits. Jon Hamm, 44, was seen on Thursday for the first time since he and his former partner officially announced that they are going to go on their own separate lives from now on.

The former "Mad Man" actor, Jon Hamm was seen on Little Dom's restaurant located in Los Angeles on Thursday night joined by his two friends. Hamm gave a friendly hug to one of his friend before they seated. The said dinner was simple as the actor and his friends quietly gathered and eating, the E! Online reported.

According to People, the night out dinner was reported after four days since the ex-couple announced their official confirmation about the split. Ham and his 45-year-old ex-girlfriend, Westfeldt stated, "With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history," They also added, "We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward."

A source also revealed that after the split up, Westfeldt is "more like a manager and a mother" for the "Mad Men" actor. The 45-year former partner of Hamm was really good on taking care of him and gives support to the actor whenever he's in a difficult situation. Seeing that, the actor acknowledged his ex-girlfriend for her supportive care especially when Hamm finished his rehab. Hamm was sent to rehabilitation due to his alcoholic abuse.

Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt started dating back in 1997. The two were casted together on the film, Friends with Kids in 2011, the Financial Express wrote. The former couple were also center of spotlights couple back then and been very open about their feelings in public.

Last year, on an interview, Jon expressed his feelings on how he was lucky to meet Jennifer. Jon and Jennifer met in the year 1997 however they never decided to get married. The actor-director revealed he wasn't against the idea of marriage but he thinks it will not work on their relationship. The former couple officially announced their break up reported earlier this week.

It may be over for the two stars; however, a possibility on a film together is not out of a question.
