A new trailer for "Grimm" Season 5 proves that Juliette won't be surviving as she was seen dying in the arms of Nick and placed inside a coffin. Because of this, Nick will definitely seek revenge not only for the love of his life but also for the death of his mother.
In the Season 4 finale, Trubel shot Juliette and killed Nick's mother then planned to kill Nick as well. Season 5 of "Grimm" will reportedly be picking up from where it left off. According to Christian Post, due to the recent loss of Nick's loved ones, the series is more geared towards a much darker direction. Fans speculate that Nick will quit his job and start plotting his revenge. Another speculation is that Nick will find happiness and a purpose to live after his baby from Adalind is born.
However, none of these fans' speculations have been confirmed to be true yet. Although actor David Giuntoli, who plays the role of Nick, teased, "I'd say they're localizing it more to what it was. It seems to be Portland, it seems to be Wesen. It seems to be Nick plotting revenge. I would definitely say I don't really care about being a cop anymore. I'm just like I'm doing my own Grimm thing."
In a report by Franchise Herald, showrunner David Greenwalt revealed that the death of Juliette was inevitable after she became a Hexenbiest. He noted that she went wild and felt so betrayed regarding Nick and Adalind having a baby so it is just natural for the character to be killed off. As for Nick, he will not be stopped in getting his revenge on the Royals, Greenwalt added.
There will also be newcomers in the series such as Carlson Young who will play the role of Selina Golias. Madeleine Brewer will also be introduced as Billie Trump, a lizard-like Wesen known as a Skalengeck, Cross Map reported.
"Grimm" Season 5 will have a much darker tone as Nick tries to get his revenge on the Royals after the death of his girlfriend and his mother. New characters will be seen such as Carlson Young's Selina Golias and Madeleine Brewer's Billie Trump. The show is set to return on October 30 on NBC.
