GoPro Hero 5: Much-Awaited Waterproof Camera To Be Released Next Year

GoPro offers a vast array of products, including softwares and applications, cameras and accessories as well as mounts. Recently, they have released the GoPro Hero 4 Session said to be 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the GoPro Hero 4. It has a very sleek and versatile design and is also the most mountable and most wearable GoPro ever. The Wareable further discussed that the Hero 4 Session has a built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for easy connection with smartphones and tablets. It has a single button that can start taking time lapse photos or video shooting depending on how you set it. It is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 60fps, 1440p video at 30fps and 8MP stills.

Today, rumors are abound that GoPro will be releasing another series of Hero cameras aptly named GoPro Hero 5. As what Breathecast reported, the Hero 5 will be released to the market sometime in October but GoPro Inc. somehow postponed it and moved the release to 2016 in order to make further improvements and incorporation of new features.

Master Herald further unveiled some of the features that will be most likely be present in the Hero 5. It said that the device will be capable to capture 8K videos at Full Ultra HD, a mile better than the 3,840 x 2,160 resolution of GoPro Hero 4. Meanwhile, the new Hero can also record 4K resolution videos at 60 frames per second, 1,080-pixel resolution at 60 frames per second, 720-pixel at 100 frames per second, and 1,440-pixel at 30 frames per second.

When it comes to size, the Hero 5 will be half the size of the Hero 4, making it more wearable and mountable just the same as the Hero 4 Session.

According to Gospel Herald, the new series of Hero will have a battery capacity of 2,800 mAh which supports two hours of use. In terms of price, it's sure to cost more than the Hero 4 series.

More GoPro enthusiasts are getting excited and they surely won't miss out on the release of the Hero 5 scheduled next year.
