Actor Matt Damon is convinced that the fictional character of Jason Bourne in the Bourne series can beat Batman in any given fight. He believes that Batman's gadgets are nothing compared to the skills and strength of his character.
During the recent Toronto International Film Festival, Damon celebrated the premiere of his movie "The Martian". The actor revealed his thoughts on who would win a fight between Jason Bourne and Batman. According to the reports made by Cinema Blend, the actor said that for Batman to win in a fight with Bourne, he would have to beat Superman first. He is very sure and confident that the strength and skills that Bourne possesses could beat Batman and his gadgets any day.
Damon was addressed this question due to the facts that his very close friend, Ben Affleck would be portraying the role of the next Dark Knight. There have been lots of upcoming movies already featuring battles among superheroes as reported by Comic Book. To name a few, there is an upcoming "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie upcoming as well as speculations of "Fantastic Four and X-Men match up". It is very likely that Damon would be asked the question since producers are now coming up movies battling superheroes against each other.
On the other hand, Damon was also asked if he is willing to take up a role of Batman as well. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor declined the possibility given that there have already been generations of actors playing the roles. He also addressed that he would not be open to portraying other superhero roles as well, saying that "I think they're kind of out of superheroes, Jason Bourne is my superhero."
It has been confirmed that the actor will now come back for his role of Jason Bourne in the upcoming yet to be titled "Bourne 5" movie. It has just begun its production and is still going to be directed by Paul Greengrass. The film is due to be out in the theatres on July 2016.
