Samsung's smartphone, codenamed "Lucky", is apparently the first gadget to use the upcoming Snapdragon 820 processor created by Qualcomm, making it truly "Lucky".

According to Engadget, the Snapdragon 820 is the latest Hydra CPU that is apparently 35 percent faster than its predecessor the 810 said to be Qualcomm's current high-end processor. Its Adreno 530 graphics processor is 40 percent faster as well as being 30 percent more power-efficient. The chip's 14 nanometer manufacturing process should also make it more efficient than the 20nm of Snapdragon 810.

Moreover, the improvements made to 820 are all fairly standard and quite honestly, most people would not even see any performance differences with its predecessors. But it should open the door for even more 3D games on smartphones and tablets as well as more apps that might need more horsepower than today's chips.

TechTimes reported that if Samsung Electronics really restarts its partnership with Qualcomm and use their new chipset, it is then believed that the Snapdragon 820 will also be released in other Western countries such as the United States. Meanwhile, the version running on Exynos M1 will remain in South Korea to keep Samsung's previous custom of shipping the South Korean version of its flagship with its own Exynos chipset and the international version with the one from Qualcomm.

Furthermore, Vine Report provided information on other specifications that can be found on the "Lucky" smartphone. It is said to have a 5.7-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution. The device will be packed with 4GB of RAM working hand in hand with its 64 GB built-in storage. With regards to the camera, it will have a 16-megapixel rear main camera together with a 5-megapixel front snapper. There are also rumors about Samsung "Lucky" having two variants - one is a 5.2-inch variant and the other is a 5.8-inch variant.

With these features, avid smartphone users surely are excited and truly "lucky" to have a remarkable device like the Samsung Galaxy S7.
