Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Release Update of T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint & Verizon

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 seems to have been left behind in the Android updates as most units still run the 5.0 version of Lollipop yet. While US Cellular has already been keeping updates in the loop, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile are reported to release the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Following consumer complaints on support pages of mobile carriers, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile seem to have now a lot of making up to do. Its Galaxy Note 3 owners have been enraged for delay of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. However, chances now are getting closer to reality.

New reports tell that the mobile networks are indeed releasing the final Lollipop software version very soon. US Cellular has been the only major mobile network in the United States to deliver the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to Galaxy Note 3 units, paving the way since last week.

Previous news already told that Samsung's s smartphones will be receiving the Lollipop update before the Android 6.0 Marshmallow later this month. Enraged owners turned to a community forum on regarding the overdue rollout, while some still managed to gain composure and stayed hopeful for the update.

Meanwhile, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop brings new features and enhancements in Material Design, more notification controls, device sharing, and device syncing.

1. Material Design. Enjoy a more colorful and fresh new look and feel. Lollipop brings in more fluid animations along with improved apps and personalization options like colors, widgets and themes.

2. Device syncing. Apps, song, photos and even recent searches from one Android device can be accessed fully across all other Android devices.

3. Notification controls. Worry less because with the new notification controls, users can now adjust settings to sift people and notifications go get through. Users can also directly respond from lock screen when it is important.

4. Device sharing. Sharing device can now be done more securely through guest user mode. Create multiple user accounts to allow friends to access device to prevent them from accessing owner's private files. With Android Smart Lock, secure device by pairing it with trusted device like any wearable or even car.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will come via firmware over-the-air (FOTA) release and in stages; it may take to some units on a later date. If prompted that an update is available, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
