Hyundai, the Korean car manufacturer, showcased its newest models at Frankfurt International Motor Show 2015. Concept cars like N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo were highlighted in the event.

Hyundai launched its N sub brand on September 15 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. The N series is a new line that would focus on high performance cars. The N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo was emphasized at the motor show, Forbes reported.

Hyundai said the prototype was built in Namyang. It is a city in Korea, where Hyundai's research and development is being held. Afterwards, it was tested in Nurbugring race track in Germany. So the two locations are significant in developing 'N'.

An article from The Verge explained the design was inspired by Muroc Dry Lake in California. It is an area that serves as a testing ground for space travel. The N 2025 has an 872-horsepower. The car is powered by motors connected to hydrogen fuel cell.

The Gran Turismo weighs around 972 kilograms, which is equivalent to 2,142 lbs. The CFRP monocoque and the fuel cell stack made it lightweight.

The car generates a distinctive racecar sound because of the air blower turbine that spins at 200,000 RPM.

Evidently, Hyundai has been competing for World Rally Championship for years. Michel Nandan of Hyundai WRC team said the company has a goal entering into the competition. Consequently, it is to bring engineering ideas to people on the road cars.

Hyundai targets to enhance its cars' performance and durability. The knowledge that the team learned was applied in producing its street cars.

Rumors said the N 2025 is designed initially for the Gran Turismo 6 on PlayStation 3. Slash Gear confirmed the car would be exclusive to the game series in its future update. Hyundai said players can test its performance as it would be available for downloads soon. Though as of now, it is not yet clear if the car will be manufactured in the future.

In general, it's exciting to see how Hyundai's racing experience will be applied on its street vehicle engine in the coming years.
